TITLE
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE NECESSITY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE SIDEWALKS IN THE 2022 SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE PROGRAM AREA FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA
BODY
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted through RES-0008-2023 an amended Program Area for the 2022 Sidewalk Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 521.06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, the City Engineer has conducted a survey of sidewalks, integral approaches and aprons, and related areas which need repair or replacement in the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such survey, the City Engineer has developed a list of properties requiring repair and/or replacement of such areas and an estimated cost of improvements for each parcel in the Program Area; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution of Necessity is requested to begin notification of identified defects found as part of the inspection phase, the type of improvements required, and the associated property owner costs anticipated through the Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Council determines it to be necessary to repair or replace sidewalks of parcels identified in the 2022 Sidewalk Program Area, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That the Director of Engineering, or designee, is authorized to issue notice to each property owner identified in EXHIBIT A and to proceed with the Program in accordance with Section 521.06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
