TITLE
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING STATE CAPITAL FUNDING THROUGH OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR RENOVATION OF THE PRICE ROAD HOUSE FOR RECREATION PROGRAMMING
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna currently owns a vacant facility located at 94 Price Road, also known as the Price Road House; and
WHEREAS, the Price Road House is immediately adjacent to the Big Walnut Trail and parkland; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation plans to repurpose the facility into a recreation program center; and
WHEREAS, the Administration applied for and received a State Capital Grant in the amount of $100,000 for costs associated with this renovation project; and
WHEREAS, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will serve as the pass-through agency for this funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the State Capital Funding award of $100,000 for costs associated with the Price Road House renovation project, of which $2,000 is planned to be retained by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to cover administration of the grant.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
