TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS AND WAIVER OF SECOND READING - Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund
BODY
WHEREAS, the City’s workers’ compensation program has experienced higher claims activity than expected during 2022; and
WHEREAS, current appropriations are not sufficient and require supplemental appropriations to cover unforeseen circumstances with ongoing claims.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) be and hereby is supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund 9000 as follows:
900.05.000.5230 Workers’ Compensation Claims & Judgements: $90,000
Section 2. That the second reading is hereby waived.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
