A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING SMALL BUSINESSES IN GAHANNA

WHEREAS, America’s progress has been driven by pioneers who think big, take risks and work hard; and
WHEREAS, the President of the United States has proclaimed National Small Business Week every year since 1963; and
WHEREAS, the aim of this week is to honor the entrepreneurs of our country, who have played their part in bringing new ideas to life and growing our economy; and
WHEREAS, over 1,000 small businesses call Gahanna home and contribute to the vibrancy of our community; and
WHEREAS, small business owners have energy and a passion for what they do; and
WHEREAS, National Small Business Week 2022 celebrates the resiliency and tenacity of America’s entrepreneurs who are doing their part to power our nation’s historic economic comeback; and
WHEREAS, we join in this national effort to help America’s small businesses do what they do best, create jobs, and ensure that our communities remain as vibrant tomorrow as they are today.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council does hereby recognize May 1-7, 2022, as National Small Business Week for the City of Gahanna.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
