AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH STRAWSER PAVING COMPANY, INC., FOR THE 2022 RESIDENTIAL STREET PROGRAM ST-1090

WHEREAS, bids were opened and reviewed on March 18, 2022, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible, and responsive bidder has been recommended for construction services of the 2022 Residential Street Program; and

 

WHEREAS, a total of two (2) bids were received with the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder being Strawser Paving Company, Inc.; and

 

WHEREAS, this year’s residential street program consists of concrete work, asphalt resurfacing, crack sealing, street rebuilds, and pavement marking.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Strawser Paving Company, Inc., 1595 Frank Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43223, for the 2022 Residential Street Program.

 

Section 2. That funding in the amount of five million one hundred thirty-four thousand seven hundred fifty-seven dollars ($5,134,757.00) was set aside in 2022 appropriations to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3. The contract terms are set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto.

 

Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
