AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE DISTRICT ADVISORY COUNCIL OF THE FRANKLIN COUNTY GENERAL HEALTH DISTRICT, AND FRANKLIN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH FOR HEALTH SERVICES.

WHEREAS, Franklin County Public Health performs health services for the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, some of the services provided include inspections of sanitary systems, food establishments, hotels, public swimming pools, and spas, and additionally, the health department enforces housing sanitation and performs radon testing; and
WHEREAS, the annual amount of the 2022 program reflects a two percent increase over the 2021 contract bringing the total to $335,687.76 ($9.32 per capita; 36,018 population); and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds will be requested in the 2022 appropriation request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with Franklin County Public Health, 280 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215-4562, for 2022 City of Gahanna Health Services; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
