AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORD 0121-2019 TITLED: ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE BENEFITS FOR PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020.

WHEREAS, the 2020 Benefits Ordinance which included the benefits for the unclassified personnel of the City of Gahanna (ORD 0121-2019) was passed by City Council on December 16, 2019; and
WHEREAS, modifications include an increase in vacation hours from 240 to 300 hours and to allow Department Directors, Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of Police, and City Planner & Zoning Administrator to carryover any hours in excess of 300 as of December 31, 2020 to December 31, 2022 due to the COVID 19 pandemic; and,
WHEREAS, the increase in vacation hours to 300 better aligns the unclassified personnel with unionized personnel; and,
WHEREAS, hours above 300 will not be subject to pay out and will be required to be used by December 31, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the 2020 Benefits Ordinance (Ord 0121-2019) for Personnel of the City of Gahanna, is hereby amended as described in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature of approval by the Mayor
