AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund

WHEREAS, the Division of Police requests a supplemental appropriation of $185,000 from the un-encumbered, unappropriated balance of the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the funds will be used to purchase additional equipment including portable defibrillators for each marked police vehicle, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), technology items, software and other permissible use expenditures pursuant to federal equitable sharing guidelines in support of law enforcement operations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of one hundred eighty five thousand dollars and zero cents ($185,000.00) from the unappropriated Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund (236) be and is hereby appropriated to account number 23610000-5320 - Treasury Trust Operating Equipment.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
