ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH DECKER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE 2020 INDUSTRIAL STREET PROGRAM ST-1070.

WHEREAS, bids were opened and reviewed on March 20, 2020, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible, and responsive bidder has been recommended by the City Engineer for construction services of the 2020 Industrial Street Program; and
WHEREAS, a total of four (4) bids were received with the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder being Decker Construction Company; and
WHEREAS, this year’s industrial street program consists of asphalt resurfacing, crack sealing, street rebuilds, striping, and striping improvements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Decker Construction Company, 3040 McKinley Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, 43204, for the 2020 Industrial Street Program, ST-1070.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of two million four hundred thousand two hundred seventy eight dollars and fifty eight cents ($2,400,278.58) was set aside in prior year appropriations and 2020 appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
