ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH STRAWSER PAVING COMPANY FOR THE 2020 RESIDENTAL STREET PROGRAM ST-1070.

WHEREAS, bids were opened and reviewed on March 20, 2020, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible, and responsive bidder has been recommended by the City Engineer for construction services of the 2020 Residential Street Program; and
WHEREAS, a total of three (3) bids were received with the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder being Strawser Paving Company; and
WHEREAS, this year’s residential street program consists of asphalt resurfacing, crack sealing, street rebuilds, striping, and striping improvements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Strawser Paving Company, 1595 Frank Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43223, for the 2020 Residential Street Program, ST-1070.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of four million, one hundred sixty six thousand forty three dollars and eighty eight cents ($4,166,043.88) was set aside in prior year appropriations and 2020 appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
