ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO: Amending Section 131.01 Emergency Powers, of Chapter 131 Mayor; AND DECLARING IT AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, in event of an emergency which threatens the safety or health of the residents of the city, the Mayor is authorized to proclaim a state of emergency in the city or any area therein; and,
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this legislation all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 131.01 Emergency Powers of Chapter 131 Mayor of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Gahanna shall be and are hereby amended to read as follows:
See Exhibit “A” attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
