ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDED AGREEMENT WITH CALFEE STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS, LLC., DBA CALFEE ZONING FOR PROFESSIONAL ZONING CODE REWRITE SERVICES; WAIVING SECOND READING AND DECLARING IT AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Department of Planning & Development has determined it necessary to repeal and replace Part Eleven- Planning & Zoning Code, Title Seven - Design Review and Chapter 1197 - Design Review; and,

 

WHEREAS, this will be an amendment to an existing Professional Services Agreement entered into on November 20, 2017; and,

 

WHEREAS, funding has been set aside for additional updates to the Zoning Code; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this legislation all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into an amended agreement with Calfee Strategic Solutions, LLC. Dba Calfee Zoning, 2800 First Financial Center, 255 E. Fifth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45202 for the amount not to exceed sixty six thousand, seven hundred fifty dollars ($66,750.00).

 

Section 2.  That the second reading is hereby waived.

 

Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and upon date of signature approval by the Mayor.
