ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH FRANKLIN COUNTY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT TO THE INTERSECTION OF REYNOLDSBURG- NEW ALBANY ROAD AND CLARK STATE ROAD IN JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP.

WHEREAS, Franklin County will be undertaking construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Reynoldsburg- New Albany Road and Clark State Road in Jefferson Township, Franklin County is the lead agency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna requires a new water main and other miscellaneous maintenance improvements to be constructed at that intersection; and
WHEREAS, the agreement states that the city of Gahanna will pay Franklin County for the removal and replacement of the waterline as part of the intersection improvement including a third party inspection of the project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement between Franklin County and the City of Gahanna, said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That an appropriation of one hundred twenty six thousand dollars and zero cents ($126,000.00) from the unencumbered balance of the Water Capital Fund be and is hereby appropriated to account 652.11.000.5500 - Capital Maintenance.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
