ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF COLUMBUS FOR WATER QUALITY LAB TESTING SERVICES.

WHEREAS, currently the City of Gahanna contracts with the City of Columbus Water Quality Assurance Lab to perform Ohio EPA required quarterly water quality tests for total Trihalomethanes (TTHM) and Haloacetic Acids (HAA5); and
WHEREAS, the rate for the new contract is $138/sample which includes collecting and analyzing the samples quarterly; and
WHEREAS, we are requesting to enter into contract with the City of Columbus commencing January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2022 to maintain these services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with THE CITY OF COLUMBUS, 910 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43215, for water quality lab testing services beginning January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2022; said Contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That sufficient funds will be set aside in the 2020 Appropriations, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That the second reading is hereby waived.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
