ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE GAHANNA COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT CORPORATION (CIC) FOR THE YEAR 2020 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING WITH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna annually enters into agreement with the Gahanna Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) for the purpose of promoting and encouraging the economic stability of the City; and
WHEREAS, there are changes to 2020 agreement removing references to Gahanna City Code Section 165.02(d) which addresses the distribution of lodging tax; and
WHEREAS, there is a correction of verb tense in Section 2, Paragraph 2h,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) for the year 2020 for the purpose of assisting with economic development initiatives for the City of Gahanna; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding will be set aside in 2020 appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
