ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH AMERISCAPE FOR MUNICIPAL LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES.

WHEREAS, on September 20, 2019, bids for the municipal landscape maintenance contract were opened and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder is Ameriscape; and
WHEREAS, the bid price is $84,900 per year and the contract term is for three (3) years commencing January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2022 with the provision for two (2) separate renewals of one year each; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds will be set aside in 2020 appropriations to cover the contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Ameriscape, PO Box 663, New Albany, Ohio, 43054, for municipal landscape maintenance services; said Contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of eighty four thousand, nine hundred dollars ($84,900.00) will be set aside in 2020 appropriations.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
