TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY WORK AT A HIGHER CLASSIFICATION FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

WHEREAS, the Director of Planning and Development resigned from the City of Gahanna on September 3, 2019; and
WHEREAS, per the Pay Plan Administration Policy, Section 4 (B)(8) which was adopted on April 1, 2019, the supplemental expense is subject to approval by Council; and
WHEREAS, the Administration does not intend to recruit for a Director due to the change in City leadership in January, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Administration respectfully requests Council to approve a supplemental request for temporary work out of class for Deputy Director of Planning and Development Michael Blackford,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the request for temporary work out of class for Deputy Director of Planning and Development Michael Blackford be and is hereby approved for the remainder of 2019 (September 4- December 31, 2019).
Section 2. That the total request is $1,713.27, which will increase the hourly rate to $45.78 (5%). These funds are currently available in the current budget.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
