ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH CENTRAL OHIO BUILDING COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO BASKETBALL COURTS AT SUNPOINT PARK

WHEREAS, on July 15, 2019, City Council approved a Motion Resolution authorizing the Director of Parks & Recreation to solicit for bids for construction of two basketball courts at Sunpoint Park; and
WHEREAS, bidding was performed for the aforementioned project and in accordance with city Charter, the lowest responsive and responsible bid was received from Central Ohio Building Company
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Central Ohio Building Company, 3756 Agler Rd. Columbus, OH 43219 for the construction of two basketball courts at Sunpoint Park for an amount not exceed ninety three thousand, twenty dollars and forty four cents ($93,020.44).
Section 2. The contract is attached as Exhibit A, and made a part herein.
Section 3. That funding has already been appropriated in account 3250.6000.5505 Capital Project/Improvement.
Section 4. The second reading is hereby waived.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
