SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Severance Payments

WHEREAS, there were a number of unplanned separations from the City during 2019; and
WHEREAS, to date, $279,305.00 has been expended; and
WHEREAS, it was estimated, based upon historical trends, that $250,000.00 would be expended for the entire year; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation increase is needed to provide additional leave pay-out for payments that may occur before year-end,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of one hundred sixteen thousand dollars and zero cents ($116,000.00) from the unappropriated General Fund (1010) be and is hereby appropriated to account number 101.06.000.5900- General Fund transfers.
Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to transfer said funds to the Leave Pay-Out Reserve Fund - 7500.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
