TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH BRONSON BATTLE CREEK HOSPITAL, DBA HELPNET EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
BODY
WHEREAS, the City has had an employee assistance program for several years and wishes to continue this program; and
WHEREAS, Council passed ORD-0123-2010 to allow Battle Creek Health Systems to assume our employee assistance program effective August 10, 2010 and it was last renewed in 2014, but expired on December 31, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources is recommending we renew the contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with BRONSON BATTLE CREEK HOSPITAL, dba HelpNet Employee Assistance Program, 36 West Manchester, Battle Creek, MI 49037, as the provider of EAP services for the City; contract attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding has already been set aside in previous appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and thirty days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
