SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION- Water Meter Proceeds.

WHEREAS, for each new build/new development the City charges developers a water meter fee; and
WHEREAS, this fee reimburses the City the cost of purchasing the new water meters that are required to be installed; and
WHEREAS, when we receive reimbursement for such purchases, we ultimately want those funds to end up in the expense accounts that paid for the new water meters; and
WHEREAS, it is the City’s intention to move these funds on a quarterly basis; and
WHEREAS, to move the funds to the appropriate account requires a supplemental appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS ($3,495) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated/unencumbered balance of the General Fund 1010 to 6511.1000.5300, Water Materials and Supplies.
Section 2. That ORD-0010-2019, passed January, 2019, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
