To authorize the Mayor to enter into agreement with the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) for the years 2019-2020 for the purpose of encouraging tourism and hosting community events within the city, and to Declare an emergency.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna annually enters into agreement with the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) for the purpose of encouraging tourism and hosting community events within the city; and
WHEREAS, there are minor changes from the 2018 agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is critical for the orderly flow of business that this agreement be entered into as soon as possible, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau, 167 Mill Street Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for the years 2019-2020 for the purpose of encouraging tourism and hosting community events with the city; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
