Title

TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR STREET LIGHT MAINTENANCE

Body

WHEREAS, bids were opened on October 26, 2018, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, most responsive, and responsible bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desirable to proceed with this contract so that it is in effect by January 1, 2019 and ending on December 31, 2019, with the provision for four (4) separate renewals of one (1) year each.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor authorized to enter into contract with JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC COMPANY, 6630 Taylor Road, Blacklick, Ohio 43004, for street light maintenance in accordance with bid and City specifications, said bid tabulation attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.

 

Section 2.  That funding will be set aside in the 2019 Appropriations, and should be included in future appropriations over the term of the contract.

 

Section 3.   That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
