TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH CARGILL FOR ROAD SALT FOR THE 2018-2019 WINTER SEASON.
BODY
WHEREAS, Southwest Ohio Purchasers for Government (SWOP4G) invites members of the organization (local governments and political subdivisions) to partner with them for the cooperative purchase of road salt each winter season; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2018, bids for road salt for the 2018-2019 winter season were opened and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Gahanna’s salt needs is Cargill, with a bid price of $82.72/ton plus a $8.00/ton piling charge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Cargill, 24950 Country Club Blvd., Suite 450, North Olmsted, OH, 44070, for road salt for the 2018-2019 winter season; Bid Tab attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
