TITLE
TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH IRONPLANET DBA GOVPLANET FOR THE CITY’S AUCTION LISTING SERVICE.
BODY
WHEREAS, IronPlanet (dba GovPlanet) is a National Joint Powers Alliance cooperative purchasing partner that specializes in auction listings that help government agencies achieve faster sales and generate higher returns; and
WHEREAS, auction revenues for items that are inspected and managed by IronPlanet (vehicles, heavy equipment, etc) are shared with 85% going to the City and 15% going to IronPlanet; and
WHEREAS, the City receives 100% of auction revenues for items that are inspected and managed internally by the City (file cabinets, chairs, desks, televisions, etc); and
WHEREAS, since this is solely a revenue generating contract, no City funds are required to cover this Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with IRONPLANET dba GOVPLANET, 3825 Hopyard Road, Suite 250, Pleasanton, CA 94588-8528, for the City’s Auction Listing Service; said Contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
