TITLE
TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH LAW GENERAL CONTRACTING FOR THE LARRY LANE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, ST-1050 AND PIZZURRO PARK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, ST-1042.
BODY
WHEREAS, the bridges that carry Larry Lane over Sycamore Run and Pizzurro Park Drive over an unnamed tributary of Big Walnut Creek are currently rated in poor condition and are in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, on March 16, 2018, bids were opened and reviewed with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder being Law General Contracting with a bid price below the Engineer’s Estimate; and
WHEREAS, funds to cover this were included in prior year appropriations.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with LAW GENERAL CONTRACTING, 9128 Mt. Vernon Road, St. Louisville, Ohio 43071, for the Larry Lane Bridge Replacement, ST-1050 and Pizzurro Park Bridge Replacement, ST-1042; said Contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY NINE DOLLARS ($559,489) was set aside in prior year appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
