TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH KE-SITE COMPANY FOR THE PRICE ROAD PHASE II SANITARY SEWER PROJECT, SA-1032, MORRISON ROAD; SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT, SA-1049; OBERLIN COURT NORTH REBUILD, ST-1056.

WHEREAS, the Price Road project will offer sanitary sewer to a currently unsewered area along James Road and Price Road and remove an aging lift station from operation on Oberlin Court; and
WHEREAS, The Morrison Road project will replace a small section of eight inch sanitary sewer along Morrison Road that is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, Oberlin Court North will be rebuilt from Price Road to Clemson Avenue; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened and reviewed on March 2, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder was KE-Site Company; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering has recommended we proceed with the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with KE-Site Company, 5797 Raiders Road, Frazeyburg, OH 43822, for the Price Road Phase II Sanitary Sewer Project, SA-1032, Morrison Road; Sanitary Sewer Replacement, SA-1049; Oberlin Court North Rebuild, ST-1056; bid tab attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($575,900) was set aside in the 2018 appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
