TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) FOR A PILOT PROJECT BETWEEN GAHANNA, MORPC, AND JADETRACK TO UTILIZE THEIR ENERGY BENCHMARKING SOFTWARE TO COMPARE OUR ENERGY USE AND DOCUMENT REDUCTIONS IN ENERGY USE.
BODY
WHEREAS, Gahanna is one of the MORPC communities who has agreed to participate in the pilot program for MORPC’s Local Government Energy Partnership Benchmarking
Program; and
WHEREAS, Gahanna will be working with MORPC’s energy consultant, JadeTrack, to utilize their energy benchmarking software to compare our energy use and document reductions in energy use as we move forward; and
WHEREAS, our experience throughout the process will help MORPC make any necessary revisions prior to a full rollout to all MORPC communities; and
WHEREAS, there is no cost to Gahanna for the utilization of JadeTrack’s basic software for this program which ends December 31, 2020, and there is no requirement to continue utilizing the software.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a pilot project between Gahanna, MORPC, 111 Liberty Street, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215 and JadeTrack, Inc., 1275 Kinnear Road, Columbus, Ohio 43212
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
