TO AMEND CHAPTER 941, GARBAGE AND RUBBISH COLLECTION, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the amendment in Chapter 941.01, Definitions, add a definition for “rubbish”; and
WHEREAS, the amendment in Chapter 941.03, Placement of Garbage, Rubbish and Receptacles, modified wording for clarification purposes, requires garage/rubbish receptacles to be stored appropriately within 24 hours of pickup, and restricts the accumulation of rubbish/garbage; and
WHEREAS, the amendment in Chapter 941, Service of Notice, changed wording for clarification purposes; and
WHEREAS, the amendment in Chapter 941.12, Failure to Comply; Remedy, changed wording for clarification purposes; and
WHEREAS, the amendment in Chapter 941.16, Payment Schedule, changed wording so that we can stop billing for refuse collection in advance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 941, Garbage and Rubbish Collection, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto.
Section 2. That existing Chapter 941, Garbage and Rubbish Collection, or any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
