TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF COLUMBUS FOR WATER QUALITY LAB TESTING SERVICES FOR 2018 AND 2019.
BODY
WHEREAS, currently the City of Gahanna contracts with the City of Columbus Water Quality Assurance Lab to perform Ohio EPA required quarterly water quality tests for total Trihalomethanes (TTHM) and Haloacetic Acids (HAA5); and
WHEREAS, the current rate is $125/sample which includes collecting and analyzing the samples quarterly; and
WHEREAS, we are requesting to renew and enter into contract with the City of Columbus for 2018 and 2019 to maintain these services; and
WHEREAS, there is no cost increase for the continued testing services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with THE CITY OF COLUMBUS, for water quality lab testing services for 2018 and 2019; said Contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That sufficient funds will be set aside in the 2018 Appropriations, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
