TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO PROVIDE CONSENT LEGISLATION TO THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPIRATION (ODOT) FOR DO6 GUARDRAIL END TREATMENTS FY18, PID 104166, TO ALLOW THEM TO REPLACE GUARDRAIL END TREATMENTS ON HAMILTON ROAD IN THE VICINITY OF I-270; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.
BODY
WHEREAS, the Ohio Department of Transportation will be replacing guardrail end treatments on Hamilton Road in the vicinity of I-270; and
WHEREAS, the existing end treatments are non-compliant, so this work will upgrade the existing end treatments to current standards; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to meet the state’s schedule and proceed as soon as possible, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to provide consent legislation to the Ohio department of Transportation (ODOT) for DO6 Guardrail End Treatments FY18, PID 104166, to allow them to replace guardrail end treatments on Hamilton Road in the vicinity of I-270; said Consent Legislation attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
