TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH MEACHAM & APEL ARCHITECTS, INC., FEINKNOPF MACIOCE SCHAPPA ARCHITECTS, INC., TOOLE & ASSOCIATES, AND WILLIAM CONROY, FOR PLAN REVIEW SERVICES FOR PLAN REVIEW, BACK-UP PERSONNEL, AND INSPECTIONS.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, to maintain certification by the State of Ohio Board of Building Standards, the City of Gahanna Building Division is required to have in its employ or under contract, alternate personnel to serve in the event of a conflict of interest or the unavailability of the building official, plans examiner or inspector; and

 

WHEREAS, there are no increases in fees for Toole & Associates or William Conroy; and

 

WHEREAS, Meacham & Apel Architects, Inc. and Feinknopf Macioce Schappa Architects, Inc., have proposed an increase in fees, which are comparable with other consultants, and the industry.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with MEACHAM & APEL ARCHITECTS, INC., FEINKNOPF MACIOCE SCHAPPA ARCHITECTS, INC., TOOLE & ASSOCIATES, and WILLIAM CONROY, for plan review, back-up personnel, and inspection services for the City of Gahanna; said Contracts attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

 

Section 2.  That sufficient funds will be set aside in the 2018 Appropriations, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
