TITLE

 

TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A WORKING AGREEMENT WITH FRANKLIN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT (FSWCD) FOR NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM (NPDES) PERMIT.

WHEREAS, under the City’s stormwater NPDES permit, there are certain Ohio EPA requirements we must meet in order to be compliant with the program; and

 

WHEREAS, these requirements revolve around meeting the permit’s minimum control measures; and

 

WHEREAS, in order to meet these measures and ultimately report the results to the Ohio EPA, we partnered with FSWCD on assisting us to fulfill the requirements of the many aspects of our NPDES Program; and

 

WHEREAS, FSWCD’s proposal to assist in fulfilling the 2017 requirements is $12,850. 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a working agreement with FRANKLIN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT, 1404 Goodale Boulevard, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43212, for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of TWELVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($12,850) has been set aside in the 2017 Appropriations to Account No. 631.350.5470, Storm/Water/Regulatory Requirements, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
