TITLE
TO AMEND THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS AS RECOMMENDED TO CITY COUNCIL ON JANUARY 3, 2017.

WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission met on January 3, 2017, to review the proposed changes and voted to recommend the changes to Council for passage; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes are necessary to reflect the Charter change in Section 13.03 - Classified & Unclassified Service, which changes to Police Chief and Deputy Chief to unclassified service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the City of Gahanna Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations are hereby amended; Rules and Regulations are attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
