TO AMEND CHAPTER 505.09, ANIMAL NUISANCE CONDITIONS PROHIBITED & TO AMEND CHAPTER 1123.34, KENNEL OR OTHER ANIMAL SHELTERS, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.
BODY
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is recommending an amendment to Chapter 505.09, Animal Nuisance Conditions Prohibited, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended to City Council that the language in Chapter 1123.34 be kept at five animals; and
WHEREAS, this change is to align Chapter 505 with Chapter 1123 regarding the number of animals allowed to be kept.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 505.09, Animal Nuisance Conditions Prohibited and Chapter 1123.34, Kennel or Other Animal Shelters, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Chapter 505.09, Animal Nuisance Conditions Prohibited and Chapter 1123.34, Kennel or Other Animal Shelters, or any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
