TITLE
TO HONOR AND COMMEND SHARON MONTGOMERY FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF GAHANNA.
BODY
WHEREAS, over the last twenty-five years, Sharon Montgomery has served the City of Gahanna in various roles; and
WHEREAS, Sharon graduated from The Ohio State University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Welfare; and
WHEREAS, in 1991, Sharon began working part-time for the City of Gahanna, later to move into her current position as full-time Records Administrator; and
WHEREAS, under the direction of Sharon, the first city-wide records program was established; and
WHEREAS, Sharon preserved historical items that would have otherwise been lost to the City; and
WHEREAS, Sharon worked diligently to ensure that each department was in compliance with the new public records laws; and
WHEREAS, Sharon established an organized training program to assist departments in managing their records; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure, Sharon has established wonderful and lasting relationships with City vendors; and
WHEREAS, in her thoughtful nature, Sharon brings delight to her co-workers by presenting them with small tokens to commemorate little holidays such as "National S'mores Day"; and
WHEREAS, Sharon has an unwavering spirit, and displays dedication in all that she does; and
WHEREAS, Sharon is an advocate for victims of distracted driving, and continues to persistently and passionately represent victims at the local and state levels to ensure that distracted driving takes less lives; and
WHEREAS, Sharon will be profoundly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure to work with and get to know her here at the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
