TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH CONTRACT SWEEPERS AND EQUIPMENT FOR STREET SWEEPING SERVICES.

WHEREAS, in November 2016, bids for the street sweeping services contract were opened and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder is Contract Sweepers and Equipment; and
WHEREAS, the bid price is $64,636 per year and the contract is for three (3) years with the provision for two (2) separate extensions of one (1) year each; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds will be set aside in 2017 appropriations to cover the cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with CONTRACT SWEEPERS AND EQUIPMENT, 2137 Parkwood Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, 43219, for street sweeping services; said Contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIXTY FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY SIX DOLLARS ($64,636) will be set aside in 2017 appropriations.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
