SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - McCutcheon Park Concept Plan

WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department is assembling multiple funding sources to create the funding for a Phase I construction of McCutcheon Road Park; and
WHEREAS, $250,000 was awarded from the FY 2016-2017 State Capital Budget, the Parks & Recreation Foundation has pledged a minimum of $25,000 and an application for a Natureworks Grant for $100,000 is in process; and
WHEREAS, there are additional sources to ask and there is a goal to raise $800,000 by end of the year; and
WHEREAS, two public meeting were held and Open Town Hall was utilized to gain input from the community on this project and another public meeting will be held in the fall to review the master plan concepts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of Account No. 327 to Account No. 327.431.5596, Park Fees Capital Projects/Improvements Fund; and ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of Account No. 328 to Account No. 328.431.5596, Park In Lieu of Fees Capital Projects/Improvements Fund.
Section 2. That ORD-0136-2015, passed December 21, 2015, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
