TO AMEND THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS AS RECOMMENDED TO CITY COUNCIL ON JULY 19, 2016.

WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission met on June 21, 2016, and July 19, 2016, to review the proposed changes and voted to recommend the changes to Council for passage; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes will allow the City to make modifications to the selection and hiring process for the currently vacant Deputy Chief of Police position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the City of Gahanna Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations are hereby amended; Rules and Regulations are attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
