TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND ELLEN T. ZEHNER FOR VOLUNTEER WORK AS A MEMBER OF THE 2016 CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION.

WHEREAS, every five years, the Charter of the City of Gahanna, Ohio, requires the appointment of a seven member commission to review the existing Charter and to make recommendation to Council; and
WHEREAS, ELLEN T. ZEHNER was appointed to this short-term, volunteer position by the Mayor; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate and desirable by this Council to honor ELLEN T. ZEHNER for her service to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the residents of Gahanna, hereby commend ELLEN T. ZEHNER and offer sincerest appreciation to her for faithful attendance and diligent service as a member of the 2016 Charter Review Commission.
Section 2. That it is further recognized that ELLEN T. ZEHNER made immeasurable contributions to the work of the commission through her expertise and she is encouraged to continue her interest in governmental affairs.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
