TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THYSSENKRUPP ELEVATOR CORPORATION FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE THREE CITY-OWNED ELEVATORS.
BODY
WHEREAS, ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation currently performs routine maintenance and quarterly inspections on all three city-owned elevators located in City Hall, at the Police Department and the Creekside Parking Garage; and
WHEREAS, the service agreement is expiring this year and ThyssenKrupp has proposed another five (5) year agreement; and
WHEREAS, the new cost for these services will be $150/month for the first year with a 2% cap on any increases in the remaining four years, being a $5/month increase from the previous five (5) year service agreement; and
WHEREAS, there is sufficient funding available in the 2016 appropriations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Service Agreement with THYSSENKRUPP ELEVATOR CORPORATION, 929 Eastwind Drive, Suite 218, Westerville, Ohio 43081, for the maintenance of the three city-owned elevators; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding has been set aside in 2016 appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
