SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Proprietary Revenue and Transfer of Funds.

WHEREAS, revenue collections related to water and sewer utility billing operations must be reported within the proprietary funds to support operations; and
WHEREAS, water and sewer installer license fees, refuse penalty and refuse administrative fees were identified as being reported within the General Fund and should be reported within the proprietary funds; and
WHEREAS, corrections have been made to properly report these items within the water, sewer and refuse funds however the amounts collected for 2015 through the end of January 2016 were reported within the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance is requesting authorization to transfer proprietary revenue collected by the General Fund to the Water, Sewer and Refuse Escrow Funds in the amount of $99,677; and
WHEREAS, to move the funds to the appropriate accounts requires a supplemental appropriation; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance is requesting these funds be transferred to the water and sewer installer license fee and refuse administrative fee 50/50 to the 651 - Water Fund and 661 - Sewer Fund and the refuse penalty to 850 - Refuse Escrow.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That NINETY NINE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($99,677) is hereby supplementally appropriated to account 101.991.5944, General Fund Transfers.
Section 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to transfer the funds to the water and sewer installer license fee and refuse administrative fee 50/50 to the 651 - Water Fund and 661 - Sewer Fund and the refuse penalty to 850 - Refuse Escrow.
Section 3. That ORD-0136-2015, passed December 21, 2015, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
