TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE CLEAN OHIO TRAIL FUND (COTF) GRANT FOR THE BIG WALNUT TRAIL, SECTION 4.

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks & Recreation is requesting authorization to apply for grant funds for the Big Walnut Trail, Section 4; and
WHEREAS, the Big Walnut Trail, Section 4 cost is anticipated to be over $1 million but better estimates will be developed as the project planning moves forward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to sign and submit the Clean Ohio Trail Fund (COTF) Grant for the Big Walnut Trail, Section 4.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents required by law, policies and agreements in making such application and, if the City is selected as a grant recipient, accepting the grant funds.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and after approval by the Mayor.
