TITLE

TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE DEALER VALUE LEASE SUPPLEMENT WITH MT BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. WHICH WOULD ADD A MULTI-FUNCTION COPIER TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT DISPATCH CENTER TO THE CITY’S CURRENT LEASE.

WHEREAS, the Police Department’s Dispatch center currently uses a desktop printer provided by the City’s Information Technology Department; and

 

WHEREAS, the need has arisen for the Dispatch center’s printer to be upgraded to a multi-functional unit that has a higher speed and quicker output rate in order to meet the current demand and print load of the department; and

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary that this unit remain in the dispatch area due to the sensitive nature of the print jobs; and

 

WHEREAS, the City’s current copier supplier, MT Business Technologies, is able to provide a unit that will satisfy the needs of the department and the unit can be added concurrently to the existing lease agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, the annual cost for the new copier is $1,188 plus a $0.0049 black and white click charge and a $0.0490 color click charge.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Dealer Value Lease Supplement with MT Business Technologies, Inc., for a multi-function copier machine for the Police Department Dispatch center; said Dealer Value Lease Supplement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

 

Section 2. That funding is available and has been set aside in the 2016 Budget Appropriations to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
