TO AMEND CHAPTER 929, WATER CONNECTIONS AND RATES, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus increased their water rate by 4%; and
WHEREAS, for 2016, the Director of Public Service is recommending that the City reduce the Water Capital rate by 5%; and
WHEREAS, after incorporating the Columbus increase into the budgetary needs of the City of Gahanna’s water and sanitary division it will require that the City amend the current rates, as set forth in the attached exhibit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 929, Water Connections and Rates, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Chapter 929, Water Connections and Rates, or any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
