TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF COLUMBUS FOR WATER QUALITY LAB TESTING SERVICES AT A CHARGE OF $125 PER SAMPLE.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna currently has a contract with the City of Columbus Water Quality Assurance Lab to perform our Ohio EPA required quarterly water quality tests for total Trihalomethanes (TTHM) and Haloacetric Acids (HAA5); and
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus will charge $125 per test which will include collecting and analyzing the samples quarterly; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer is requesting said agreement with the City of Columbus for Analytical Services for the 2016 and 2017 years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into agreement with the City of Columbus, Department of Public Utilities, Water Quality Assurance Lab, 910 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for water quality lab testing services at a charge of $125 per sample, said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding for this testing has been appropriated in the 2016 budget to Account No. 651.350.5470, Regulatory Requirements.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
