TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF COLUMBUS FOR GAHANNA’S PORTION OF THE HAMILTON ROAD PHASE A WIDENING PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is planning to widen a portion of Hamilton Road from Morse Road to SR-161; and

WHEREAS, this widening project will include the widening on Morse Road from Trellis Lane to Hamilton Road, as well as a right turn lane on Southbound Hamilton Road at Morse Road in our jurisdiction; and

WHEREAS, this section of Morse Road experiences severe congestion and is in need of widening; and

WHEREAS, the provided contribution covers our share of the project design costs which will require a contribution of $150,000 in 2015 and $15,000 in 2016.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contribution agreement with the City of Columbus, Department of Public Service, Office of Support Services, 50 West Gay Street, 5^th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for Gahanna’s portion of the Hamilton Road Phase A Widening Project, said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this

Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor
