SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Contract Electrical Inspections.

WHEREAS, a supplemental is necessary to cover the electrical inspections through the end of the year; and
WHEREAS, the Building Division has processed a significant number of residential, commercial and industrial permits through August 17, 2015; and
WHEREAS, projected revenue from permit fees was set at $324,800 and as of August 17, 2015 the Building Division has collected $283,387; and
WHEREAS, the department has been outsourcing more inspection work in order to allow staff to complete a backlog of occupancy permits and permit data entry; and
WHEREAS, the supplemental is necessary to allow payment of fees and cost of services to contracted service providers; and
WHEREAS, these expenses are covered entirely by revenue collected from the corresponding permit fees; and
WHEREAS, the additional funds being requested are an estimated cost based on the pending permits being processed and the projects expected to be submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.344.5247, Contract Plan Review Services.
Section 2. That ORD-0163-2014, passed December 15, 2014, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
