TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE EASEMENT WITH FRANKLIN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR THE SYCAMORE RUN STREAM RESTORATION PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the Sycamore Run Stream Restoration project was authorized by ORD-0008-2014 and was completed in the fall of 2014; and
WHEREAS, the majority of construction was funded by a 319 grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, one of the conditions of the grant funds was that a conservation easement be established over the entire stream restoration area; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that we move forward to execute said easement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Easement with Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District, for the Sycamore Run Stream Restoration Project; said easement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
