TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH URS CORPORATION FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE CARPENTER ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT ST 993.

WHEREAS, the bridge on Carpenter Road that crosses Sycamore Run is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, the right of way has been acquired and the deeds are now recorded for this project; and
WHEREAS, through the Quality Based Section process, URS has been selected for the design of the Carpenter Road Bridge Replacement;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with URS CORPORATION, 277 West Nationwide Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for design services for the Carpenter Road Bridge Replacement ST 993; said contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIXTY NINE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY THREE DOLLARS ($69,973) was set aside in the 2015 Appropriations to Account No. 325.122.5596, Capital Improvement Fund, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
